US TAG Seeking Subject Matter Experts for New Project Team

IEC TC114 has released a New Work Item Proposal (NP) on the Measurement of mechanical loads which will be led by Anton Schaap of the Netherlands. This part of the IEC 62600 series will describe the measurement of fundamental structural loads on wave, tidal and other water current converters (including river current converters) for the purpose of the load simulation model validation. The US is looking to nominate 2 Subject Matter Experts (SME) to serve on the Project Team and contribute to the publication of this new technical specification. The responsibilities of SMEs include: providing input based on detailed subject knowledge, assistance in chapter development and general document management and editing, participation in regular conference calls, attendance at face to face project team meetings, staying abreast of changes and progress in document development and providing original text for, or detailed analysis/critique of, documents as appropriate. SMEs are encouraged to attend the annual US TAG meeting and contribute to the broader TC114 as time allows.

We are accepting resumes for all qualified and interested experts until 6/12/2017. All resumes will be reviewed by the US Executive Committee and decisions will be based on the experts’ background and experience in this area and any prior IEC experience.
